Responsibilities
· Monitor and manage inventory levels of assigned goods, placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted support of production needs
· Conduct and record regular counts of inventory, making notes and correcting any discrepancies found
· Monitor warehouse transactions, make recommendations / procedural changes as needed to improve efficiency and accuracy
· Maintain accurate records, leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory, Bills of Lading (BOLs) for shipments, etc.
· Interact professionally with drivers, in the processing of shipments and deliveries, confirming materials, lot numbers, load quality, expiration dates, appointment and departure times, etc.
· Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to optimize the flow of materials and products, minimizing delays and ensuring efficient use of resources
· Generate and analyze warehouse performance metrics. Prepare regular reports for management and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operations.
· Foster a consistently positive ‘customer service’ mindset in all dealings with both internal and external customers
· Other duties as assigned in support of cross-functional continuous improvement.
· Reports to the warehouse supervisor
Requirements
· Associates degree in business and accounting.
· Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, GMPs).
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
· Strong communication skills with cross functional teams, management, and external partners.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Physical Requirements: and periodically lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.
