Responsibilities
The Food Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production team and coordinating support for their efforts to safely meet production goals. The role involves supervising team members, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining product quality. The supervisor will work closely with the production team to meet daily production goals and ensure that all products meet the company's standards and regulations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is crucial for driving continuous improvement and reducing waste in the production process.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in food science, manufacturing, organizational leadership or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Lean Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
